Halloween Week

Our last week was pretty awesome. We had a good time fishing in Herriman at an awesome lake where there were tons of dear around us, and gease and ducks. It was freezing cold, but sooo much fun. Then we went to the pumpkin patch to find us some pumpkins to carve. Then of course we had a fun Halloween trick or treating, eating chili and rolls and donuts and hanging out with our family and friends. What a great time we had! Also, on Sunday we got Bella, the dog we are dog-sitting for a couple of weeks.

We have had a very busy week, but it has been super fun! Last week me and my kids went to Idaho to visit Miranda, and to help her with her Halloween party. We had a blast up there baking and watching scary movies and playing games. Then all during the week my mom was in a rehab center, because she had both of her knees replaced. Ouch! So we were there just about everyday visiting her. But we finally got her home safe and sound, and she is doing awesome! Then Saturday Adam took me on an awesome date. We went for a 3 mile hike to lake Solitude. When we got there before we started our hike it was raining a little bit, then it turned into snow flurries, then while we were deep into the beautiful woods it turned into a big snow storm. We had a blast hiking in the snow! Then he took me out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and we ate until we couldn't eat anymore! We had so much fun!

This past week has been a fun one. We went to Cabella's on Monday to see the fish and play some hunting games. Then Tuesday I shopped until I dropped for Noah's Kindergarten class party, set up the party with some friends, and had my friends daughter over, since her and Noah are apparently going to get married. Wednesday was Noah's party, where we played games, frosted cookies, painted pictures, and filled all of the kids with tons of sugar and apple juice from our witches cauldron. Wednesday night I had a Scentsy party and had some friends over. It was good girl time! Yesterday, Thursday, I worked all day, but that's not to say that it wasn't fun. I got to talk to Memot Okur, had a little chat and walk with Pres. Monson, after meeting him on the elevator, and made some money!! Today we are going to Idaho to see Miranda and have a fun and awesome Halloween Party at her home. Then we will make the drive back home on Sunday. We had a fun week! I can't wait to see what the next one will bring!!!

Noah is such a ladies man. When I dropped him off at school, all of the little girls were screaming his name, like he was a superstar. He acted like he passed out, and then ran to them. He was also handing out his autograph a couple of weeks ago, and all of the kids moms were telling me how excited their kids were to have it. Maybe he will make us some money with a attitude like that!

I can't beleive that the last thing that I have posted on my oh so important blog is Noah graduating from Pre-school in May. So many things have happened since then. We have had vacations, parties, fun times that are so important to remember, and I have been a huge slacker at recording those memories. I couldnt sleep last night, because I was thinking about how I need to be a better record keeper of my family, so this is one of my many things to work on. Not only so my loved ones can see what we have been up to, but also so I can look back on my blog and remember the things that we have done as a family. So here is my new goal. To post once a week, and if not every week, at least once a month. I will promise to do better. So here are some of the many wonderful, fun, exciting things that we have done this year.
Here is a beautiful picture I took in the morning while camping at Soldier Creek in September. We woke up to frost and fog everywhere. Noah and Adam caught a ton of fish and crawdads with Adams family, while Shayne and I admired the scenery, went for walks, played games and all that fun stuff.

Us girls!!! We are having such a fun time with Shayne. She is our little sweetheart!

We had an opportunity to go the the Dave Mathews concert with Amanda, Tanna, and some of thier friends. We had a good time there!

Shayne is our little artist. She loves to draw. Walls and carpet are her favorite canvases. Fortunatly, for her, she is so cute and we love her so much.

Noah started Kindergarten this year. He loves school so far. His teacher is Ms. Thompson, and she is awesome. She says that Noah is a great listener, and very smart.

He has his friend, Elise, in his class with him. I am a home room mom, and am having a blast doing it! I go and volunteer in his class every other week, and sometimes, more than that. I am in the middle of planning his class Halloween party now, and am having an awesome time with the other moms!

Noah is on a Babe Ruth baseball team this fall. He has had so much fun, and learned so much. His team mates are all older than him, and have played together for a couple of years, so they are super good, and have been able to help him learn how to play real baseball. He has played pitch, short stop, second base, and outfield, and has done really good at it!

He is still a little nervous to hit the ball during the games, but he does really well while practicing with us at home.

He wants to play basketball next, then football.

And a whole lot of sight seeing and walking, and blisters, and sleeping, and playing. We had so much fun, and grew so much closer to one another!! Thanks baby for the amazing time!

Noah grew a shag haircut, then decided right before school to cut it off. He is such a handsome little man!!!

All summer we have been doing our landscaping in our front and back yard. We had TONS of dirt brought to our home, and our kids, and the neighbor kids, had a blast playing in it. Adam and I moved dirt every day, all day, and had blisters, and caluses, and sore muscles. We had dirt in our house all the time, no matter how often I cleaned. We had mud shoe prints all over our yard, and in our house.

We finally got it evened out and grass planted. I will post some before and after pictures so we can see the progress. There is still so much more to be done in our yard, but its so fun to create this beautiful landscaping on our own for us to enjoy!

I had my 10 Year High School Reunion this year. I went with my friends Liz and Kristen, and our hubbies. We had a fun time. It was just like High School. Us three sat in the corner watching people. Fun stuff. If I could go back to that day, I would have just gone out to dinner with my good friends, and had even more fun. Oh well, at least we tried.

I know that it's just pre-school, but I am so proud of my Noah for graduating. He did such a great job this year, and has really learned so much from his sweet teacher, Ms. Neena. He has grown up so much. At his graduation they put on the sweetest program full of songs and rhymes that they learned, and then Ms. Neena had each of them come up front of everyone and interviewed them a little. This is how Noah's interview played out.
Ms. Neena- "What is your name?"
"Noah"
"What is your favorite color?"
"Blue"
"What do you want to be when you grow up"
"A MISSIONARY!!"
It was so sweet and cute! I asked Adam if he told Noah to say that, because I hadn't said anything about it, and he said no. So we must have done something right in raising him so far! Noah is so excited to go to Kindergarten, and he can't wait to meet new friends. I'm so proud of you buddy! You are such a smart, sweet, and lovable boy!

So I lost my camera for a while, thought that it had vanished into thin air. But then my fabulous Grandma found it in her house. Noah was obviously playing with it, and taking random pictures of everyone over our Easter party there. Anyway, since I have my camera back finally, I found a few cute pictures of that Easter fun that we had. I can't beleive that I have such beautiful children! I love them so much!

Spring already? Its crazy to me how fast this year is going by. Adam and I are busy getting our sprinkling system done, our yard de-weeded, and our grass put in. We are hoping to have grass to play on in the back yard by sometime in June. We keep having set backs though. Leaks in pipes, faulty gaskets, things like that. But we are going through it like the troopers that we are, and having fun working together to better our home. We are also busy with our callings in our Ward. Adam is 2nd Counselor in the Young Men's presidency, so he has activities for that and Scouts that he goes to all the time. And I'm 2nd Counselor in our Relief Society Presidency, so I'm super busy with that as well. We love it and wouldn't change it for anything.
Meanwhile, Noah has found some new friends on our street. They are all older than him. 9, 12, 13 years old. But they always come knocking on the door wanting Noah to play with them. They are outside ALL day long. Noah loves to play basketball, baseball, soccer, swing on the swing set, and have water fights with them. He keeps wanting them to sleep over, but I'm thinking 5 years old is a little young to have a bunch of older kids over. Maybe I will give in soon, who knows. But I'm so happy that he has some friends that he has so much fun with. I'm a little sad because he doesn't want to be with me anymore, but I guess that's part of kids growing up. And he is growing up way too fast.
Shayne is sweet as usual. She loves to be outside also, which is good and bad. When we are outside, for the most part, she will stay in the yard and just watch the airplanes fly by, or watch the kids play. Sometimes she tries to take off up the street to find something else to do, but she always laughs and runs when we chase after her. But when we decide its time to come in, she wont do it without a fight. She is such a goof ball. She is always trying to make us laugh at the funny things that she does. She has also started talking a little bit. She says Daddy, Noah, Yucky, Dink Dink (for Binky) no, yes, she also knows a little sign language, which is helpful. She knows how to say please, food, more, candy in sign, so that is helpful. She has also made up her own sign for lotion, because she LOVES her lotion.
We are just living the dream here in our home in Kearns, having the time of our lives! I love so much being able to stay home with my kids! I'm so thankful that we have been blessed so much!!!

We got to celebrate two of the most wonderful people in my life's Birthdays within one week of each other. Noah and Shaynes. It was so much fun!

Shayne turned 1 YEAR OLD this year. She loved having her own cake to dig into. I can't believe she is so big already!!!

Noah had a SURPRISE Star Wars birthday party for his 5th Birthday. He had so much fun with his friends and cousins. He had a Star Wars cake an Pinata and he got a TON of star wars toys from his friends. We had a blast!!!!

Oh My Goodness. Its already the end of January and so much has happened since my last post. Christmas so so much fun. I, once again, couldn't sleep all night on Christmas Eve, because I was so excited for my kids and Husband to open their gifts. It was a great Christmas.
We spent New Years Eve at my cousin Erin's home, and had alot of fun, as we had to force ourselves to stay awake until Midnight. We literally left her house at 12:08 so we could get home and go to bed. Now that is how you know that you are getting older.
Noah will be turning 5 years old in four days. I can't believe that my baby is so big. He told me that he wants a surprise Star Wars birthday party with a pinata, and what my baby wants, my baby gets as Adam says. So that's what we will be doing.
Shayne started walking about 2 weeks ago, and is now to the point where she would rather walk than crawl. She will be turning 1 year old in less that two weeks. She says "WOW" Tan Tan (thank you) Nana (food) and she points all the time to whatever she wants, and she usually gets it.
Adam and I are still loving life!!!

We set our Christmas Tree up on the Friday after Thanksgiving, as usual. But when we got it all out and decorated, it was decided that we definetly need a new tree and new decorations next year. We have had this same stuff for a really long time, and it just looks a little tattered and torn. This year it will have to do. We did have fun decorating though, so thats all that matters!
Noah really wanted to help Dad put up the star. It was so cute to watch!

Where has the time gone?

Can you believe that it is the end of November already? It is so hard for me to think that this year is already almost over, and my babies are going to be 5 and 1 year old in a couple of months. It seems to me that as I get older time goes by faster. This past year has brought me such joy. I have so much love in my home and can't wait to watch my kids grow older, my marriage grow stronger, and my relationships with friends and family grow closer. So I say this to you, and also as a reminder to me. Enjoy every second of your kids, your spouse, your life. It will fly by and before you know it, we will be wondering where the time has gone!

Well, its the week of Thanksgiving, and I just wanted to say how THANKFUL I am for everything that I have been given. I am THANKFUL an amazing HUSBAND that is my best friend, and that loves me so much that he can look past all of my faults and errors in life, and still give me all of his love.

I am so THANKFUL for such a wonderful SON that has such a tender heart. He always makes me happy when I'm sad, lifts me up when I'm down, and teaches me more everyday than I could possibly teach him.

I am so THANKFUL for our sweet DAUGHTER that is such an angel and a blessing to all of us. She came to us in a time when we all needed a little pick me up, and she definitely has picked us up.

I'm also THANKFUL for my wonderful MOTHER and SISTERS . They have been my best friends through out my whole life, and are still there for me and my family all the time.

I am THANKFUL for my awesome FRIENDS that stay in touch with us all the time, and still love to hang out with us even though we are, sometimes, out of line.
I have so many other things that I am THANKFUL for. For our nice warm home, for food on our table, for Adams job that provides all of the things for us that we need in life. I am THANKFUL just to be alive and healthy and happy.

It has been WAY to long, yet again, since I updated my blog. There has been so much that has gone on since I last updated, so these are just a bunch of random things that we have done.

This is a sign that we have seen whenever we have gone up to the Mirror Lake Highway in Kamas. I always told Adam that I was going to retire there, until we found out that its just a joke. All of my hopes and dreams were shot down. I guess I'll just have to find another Nudest Ranch to retire to. Sigh....

Adam and Noah had a blast fishing at Butterfly Lake near Mirror Lake. And Shayne and I had fun watching and reading books. It was so cold up there that the lakes were mostly covered in ice. I think we will try to go up a little sooner than October next year.

I just LOVE Noah and Shayne's morning faces, so I had to get a picture of them. They are seriously the sweetest kids in the whole world!

Noah decided to decorate Shayne's head while they were taking a bath. Shayne didn't even care.

This was the first snow of this year. We went out and had a fun snowball fight, until we were frozen.

We went to Wheeler Farm a bunch of times this year. Noah and Shayne both loved seeing the animals, and Noah even got to milk a cow one time. He thought it was the coolest thing in this world. I love to see him get excited over something other than video games.

Adam caught this monster of a fish at Strawberry, when he went on his boys trip with his friends. He only got to go for one night because of work, but he had fun while he was there.

I am so excited for the next couple of Months. October marks the start of the Holiday season that we all love. This month I am so excited to see all of the kids in their Halloween Costumes, and so excited to take my kids out trick-or-treating. On Halloween night we get together with Adam's family and have home made chili and rolls, along with a bunch of other yummy food. We have Halloween parties to go to throughout the month, and a ton of fun stuff to do. I am just so excited for this month! Happy October to you all, and have a safe and Happy Halloween!!!!

oH mY hOw TiMe FlYs!!!

It has been a whole Month since I last updated my blog. I have just been enjoying my family SO much that I could'nt pull myself away from them. I keep falling more in love with my children each and every day. They are both getting so big so fast, that it seems like I blink my eyes and something has changed.

Noah is such a great person inside and out. He wants to be just like his DAD when he grows up. He is always doing things just like Daddy. He is always so excited when his Dad gets home, because he wants to play with him. Noah is loving his pre-school teacher, and is making a lot o f new friends there. He is learning so much there, and comes home every every day after school singing a new song, or reciting a new poem. Noah is such a great big brother. If Shayne is sad, it makes him sad too. He always wants to help out with her. He always wants her to sit next to him and he loves to make her laugh. He is a huge help to me in the kitchen and loves to spend time with his family. He also loves his friends, and wants them to live at our house with us. Noah-You are such a sweetheart! Your family loves you so much, and we love so much to watch you grow! Thank you for all of the kisses!!!

Shayne is growing like a weed. She is 7 1/2 months old, and has been crawling for about 2 weeks now. She is also pulling herself up on everything. She loves to eat ANYTHING that she can get her hands on. Shayne is such a good baby. She loves to smile at anyone and anything. She loves to make people laugh too. She knows that she has us all wrapped around her little finger. Shayne- Thank you for coming into our home. You are a perfect fitting peice to our family puzzle. We love you so much!

We had a HUGE rainstorm last week and Noah ran to the window because he LOVES to watch the LIGHTENING. He wanted Shayne to come and watch it with him, so we sat up chairs, and just watched the rain. It was such a fun time. Those little moments when our family is together are the absolute best moments of my life! I would rather be sitting at home with my SWEET husband, and two DARLING children doing NOTHING, than do anything else in this whole world. I am a very happy and content woman!

On WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2009 Noah had his first day of pre-school. His teacher is Ms. Neena, and Noah just loves her. He had so much fun at school, and made some new friends. I can't believe my boy is big enough to be starting school. When I took him there, he just got his bag and ran into class. He didn't even look back. Which was great that he was so comfortable, but I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed when I left. We are SO PROUD of you Noah! You are such a great blessing in our lives!!!

Also on WEDNESDAY, Shayne had her 6 MONTH check up. She now weighs 16.3 pounds and is 26 inches long. Doctor Barret said that she is growing just great. He also said she is quite advanced for her age, because she is sitting up on her own, she stands well, and she uses her hands very well too. Also, she started getting on her hands and knees and rocking. I'm SOO not ready for her to start crawling yet, but it looks like she will be up and away in no time. Shayne, we love you so much.

Every year for yet another family reunion, my family from my Grandma's side goes to a ranch called Hidden Valley Ranch in Baker Nevada. It is so much fun there, but the drive is awful so a lot of the time we don't end up going. This year after begging on my hands and knees for months, Adam finally decided that we would be going too. We all had so much fun. We seriously just sat, ate and laughed the whole weekend. Adam, Noah, Uncle Byron and Aidan were a little bit more productive though because they went fishing a lot. Noah and I were making a cake today, and he wanted to put white frosting on it, but I only had Chocolate frosting. Here is our conversation:
Me- "Sorry, we only have Chocolate frosting."
Noah- "But I don't like Chocolate frosting."
Me- "I know you will like it."
Noah-"How do you know that?"
Me-"Because I'm your mom, and I know everything about you."
Noah-"You don't know one thing about me mom."

MOON LAKE 2009

Every year for Adam's family reunion we go to MOON LAKE. This year was one of our most memorable years. We stayed there for 8 days, and it was so much fun. Adam and Noah went fishing just about every day, and Noah caught the most fish and one of the biggest fish of the trip. Noah had so much fun with his daddy. They bonded so much, and it was so fun to see them doing something that they both love to do. Noah also had so much fun with his cousins playing on the beach and at our camp.
Shayne was a little trooper. She seemed to love camping and we had so much fun hanging out. Her and I stayed at camp most of the time and played games with Adam's family and just hung out and enjoyed the mountains. Shayne also got her FIRST 2 TEETH while we were there, which made for a couple of rough nights for her and everyone that stayed in the trailer with us(sorry Lynch's 2 and parents).
We got to stay in Adam's parents awesome new trailer that was huge enough for everyone to fit in there comfortably. I made myself at home there, and hope his family didn't mind that.
We did have a couple of VERY random things happen to us while we were there. First of all, Adam and his cousin went fishing at night, in the creepy lake and it was just them on the lake. Suddenly there were huge splashes right next to them, and it freaked them out. They didn't see anybody or anything at all, but they did get the heck out of there and come back home. Second, I was going to the bathroom at night in the lovely outhouses that they have there, and I put my flashlight down and saw a little MOUSE starring right at me. EEEK....But the funniest of all was when we decided to go for a drive to get some more drinks, and we get in our car and I see something on our dashboard that looks like MOUSE POOP. We decided to get everything out of our car while we were at the store about 45 minutes away from Moon Lake. As Adam is pulling everything out of the back of the car, and I am holding Shayne in one arm, and Noah in the other, a MOUSE, probably the one that was stalking me in the bathroom, is in the back of our car. Adam started sword fighting the mouse with our window scraper to try to get it out. Finally the mouse decided to charge Adam, and jump out of the car. After laughing hysterically at Adam screaming like a little girl while trying to get the mouse out of our car, we sterilized our car and set back to MOON LAKE in hopes that I wouldn't have another encounter with a mouse again.
We ate a little too much food, and laughed until our stomachs hurt. Thanks to all of Adam's family for being so awesome and fun to hang out with! You guys are some of our best friends!!

My baby girl is getting so big, WAY too fast. I can't beleive how she has grown. I just took her to her 4 MONTH doctor appointment, and she now weighs 13.5 pounds, and is 25 inches long. That is 2 pounds and 4 inches in the past two months. Its crazy to me. I forgot how quickly things change with a baby. And now she is big enough to be in her baby saucer. She loves to be standing up, so this is perfect for her. So here is a little note to my little Baby Shayne....STOP GROWING UP SO FAST!!! I need you to stay little for a while longer! Love you chicky!!

It's been a while since I posted anything. I have been busy ouside playing and swimming and doing yard work. I love this warm weather. It brings everyone outside and takes us away from the TV. I love my life as a mom. Yes, life was a LOT easier when I didn't have 2 little ones depending on me. When I didn't have a 4 year old thinking that I'm a jungle gym anytime I am sitting, standing, walking, laying... I think you get the picture. When I didn't have a baby girl crying at me when she is hungry, tired, needs to be changed or needs to be held. And when you put those two together, yes...being a mom can definitely be difficult. But, I wouldn't trade it for the world. My kids are my whole life. I love to see how they grow.

NOAH loves to play with me and make me feel like I am doing an OK job at being a mom. When he tells me that I am the best mom in the world I melt, and he knows that.

SHAYNE is only 3 months old, but she knows how to make me melt already. Every time she sees me, she gets this huge smile on her face. She loves it when I sing and dance with her. She is such a great blessing in our lives. And of course, I wouldn't be the person I am today without my sweetheart, ADAM. What a true blessing he is in my life. He always tells me what great mom I am, and that he loves that our kids love me so much. So THANK YOU to my family for making me the MOM that I am today!!

I am so excited to be back online. We were without a computer for a couple of weeks due to my sweet little monster of a boy breaking our computer case. We couldn't even turn on the computer. I didn't realize how much time I had spent on line until it was broken. I didn't know what to do with myself. So 2 books later, and a lot more time with my kids and friends, we have it back. I realized though that there is so much more to life than blogging. I know, its hard to believe, but it is true. I promise! I challenge everyone to go computer free for at least a week. It is very refreshing. Anyway, here is an update of my cute family!

ADAM took me out for my birthday, and it was AWESOME!! We went to the CHEESECAKE FACTORY for dinner, and then he took me BALLROOM DANCING afterwards. I couldn't believe it. It was so much fun. We are two of the most uncoordinated people when we dance together, but we had so much fun. And then the next week Adam took me to a Jazz game and dinner again. We are finally DATING again!! I love it!!

NOAH is so stinking cute, as usual! We have had so much fun playing BASKETBALL and RIDING BIKES outside in the nice weather. He has also become one of my best helpers when it comes to COOKING and BAKING. He loves to help me in the kitchen, and I love it too!!! Also the other day we went to the FIRE STATION with his pre-school group, and we both had so much fun there. My friend took pictures, because I was a doofus and forgot my camera, so I will post those later.

SHAYNE was blessed on March 29 and she looked so BEAUTIFUL in her blessing dress. She is getting so big too. I took her in for her 2 MONTH appointment on Wednesday, and she is now 11.3 lbs and 22 1/2 inches long. She is so much fun to have in our family! She is smiling and talking a ton, and her and Noah are getting along great!

I have figured out that time flys by so fast the older you get, and the more children you have. Shayne is already 6 weeks old. It is crazy to me. And I still can't believe that I have a 4 year old. I love being home with my kids. Yesterday I was taking Shayne to her crib, and Noah was waiting to play with me downstairs and I just got this huge smile on my face. I was thinking of how great my life is. I have been blessed with 2 healthy, beautiful children, and a wonderful husband that loves me so much. I have the life that I have always dreamed of ever since I was a little girl. And it seems so natural for all of us. I was so nervous for Shayne to come, mostly because I didn't know how we would all adjust to her. I thought that Noah would have a hard time with us giving our attention to a little baby. But since she has been here, it is just so much fun for all of us. It feels like she has been here forever. She completes our little family...for now.

As you all know, I just had a baby 4 1/2 weeks ago. So, a week after I had cute Shayne, my weight was down to 5 pounds over what I was when I got pregnant...I know, you all hate me right now. Anyway, Since that week, I have been on a binge fest full of cookies, brownies, ice cream, muffins....I think you get the gist of it. Anyway, I have gained back almost 10 pounds...in 4 weeks....I know!! I am a little upset at myself. But I can't stop...PLUS my girl scout cookies are coming today. I think I ordered 8 boxes. WHAT IS A GIRL TO DO IN THIS KIND OF SITUATION?? I can't wait for the weather to get warm so that I can go outside and get away from my pantry. I can't wait to get back some of my self control that I once had. I can't wait to maybe eat a healthy meal and feel full from it, and not crave my usual warm brownies and ice cream with chocolate syrup over it....Now, if you will excuse me, I need to go and eat another package of vanilla cookies with frosting in the middle all by myself before I really try to start my diet, or "life change" as some of you call it. Loves to all!!!

Noah started playing indoor soccer with a couple of his cousins. He loves the fact that he is on a soccer team. He doesn't really know how to play...his team is more like a heard of sheep. They just run together and go follow the ball. The best part is that when they actually get to the ball, most of them run away from it. There are a few on his team that are really good. Noah for the most part just runs with the crowd, but hey, at least he is having fun doing it right!!! Way to go Noah!!! We are so proud of you!!!

I was watching Ellen today, as I always do, and P-Diddy was on. He had a quote that he told Ellen. He said "If you are still chasing your dreams, you better run faster." So I thought to myself, Self, are you still chasing your dreams? And my answer was yes, in a way I am. I am staying at home with my children now, which is my ultimate dream, but am I going to be able to stay home with them forever, or will I have to go back to work? I have friends that stay home that keep telling me that we just have to have FAITH that we can make it if I stay home, and so that is what I need to do. Have FAITH that things will work out for us. I need to RUN FASTER and WORK HARDER, have more FAITH that I will be able to stay home with my kids for as long as I need to. Thanks P-DIDDY for that wonderful thought!!

We are finally starting to get things ready for the baby. We set up her swing the other day, yes..the same one Noah had 4 years ago, and Noah was so excited to try it out for his baby sis. I told him that he is too big for the swing,and that he could not get in it or it would break, and then the next thing you know, he is sitting and swinging away...giggling the whole time. What a great day! On New Years Eve, we get to go out and celebrate what the past year has given to us, and what the new year will bring. In our case, we hope that this next year is going to be a WHOLE LOT better than 2008. We know that a couple of things are going to be changing. CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas Eve is always fun. We go to Adam's parents house with all of his siblings and their kids, and open presents and eat until we drop. This year they read a Christmas story to the kids, and they loved it. Our Christmas Day was great. We all got everything that we could ever want. Except for everyone to be healthy. I woke up Christmas morning, so excited for my boys to open their presents, and Adam was sick. It was so sad. So we went down and opened up presents, and Adam went back to bed. Then Noah and I went to my moms house for our Christmas present opening from my family. That was alot of fun, although we were missing half of our group. Adam of course was at home, and Miranda and her family decided to stay in Idaho for Christmas. We still had a very Merry Christmas. Adam was feeling better by the end of the day, and then he got to enjoy what Santa brought to him.

Well, we have been up to Christmas parties, and playing in the snow. We have been making Ginger Bread houses and going to Heber with my sister and her family to ride on the Polar Express. We went to Temple Square to see the lights with my family. We have been baking and shopping and loving every minute of it. We have seen Santa MANY times. We have had so much fun, and Noah can't wait for tonight when we get to leave out cookies and milk for Santa, and then wake up early in the morning to open some presents. And I have to say, that this year Adam and I are so excited for those same things. Noah knows what is going to happen, and for the last couple of weeks we have had a countdown to Christmas every day. Can it get any busier? Nope. I don't think so. Every day for the past two weeks, and every day for the next two weeks is booked solid. I can't believe how busy we have been. But I really love it. I feel like I haven't been home to do anything in so long. I told Adam last night that I feel like we have been on vacation for the past month. We were at my family's house all day yesterday and we got home last night and I think I had forgotten what it was like to be home and have responsibilities. We had a Great Thanksgiving. In fact we had 2 great Thanksgiving dinners. One at Adam's parent's house with his cute family, and then one at my house on Saturday with my awesome family. We all ate ourselves into a food coma, and now we move on.
I love December. I think it is the most fun month of the year. We get to listen to Christmas music, have our house decorated, and see family and friends every weekend. Its so much fun. This year, I have to admit, I didn't decorate like I normally do. I toned it down because really, I'm way to tired to do more. Also the un-decorating will be much easier. But I did enough to make us feel in the Christmas spirit. Noah loves our tree. Last night he wanted to sleep in the living room to take care of our tree all night long. And he doesn't want any window's open during the day, or lights on, because he loves the Christmas lights. So Happy December. My good husband has just been announced a new BRANCH MANAGER at his work. He definetly deserves this position, and has waited for it for quite some time. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments at his work in the last year and a half that he has been there. He has moved around from different branches, and has made good friends at all of them. He is very sad to be leaving his branch right now, but he is so excited for his new branch to open in January also. Congratulation Adam! We love you!!!

On Saturday night Me and my fun sisters, Amanda and Miranda, our cousins Carly and Tanna, and our friend Heather went to Applebees for dinner, and then to the New Kids On The Block concert, and let me tell you...it was AWESOME!! They did such a great job, especially for a couple of old men! While we were there, we made a little list of the differences between this concert that we just went to, and the NKOTB concert that we went to 15 or so years ago.
1. We are all legal now...yeah!!
2. We were able to drive ourselves to the concert this time!
3. We were a lot more young and energetic the last time.
4. At 9:00, last time we weren't all wishing for the concert to be over so that we could go home and go to sleep.
5. The last time we didn't wish we had ear plugs, it was seriously soooo loud!
6. We actually weren't too far away from them. They came out in the middle of the crowd at one point, and we could almost smell their sweetness...mmmmm....Ok, I'm kidding about that one. Kind of!!!
So Basically, we all realized that we have turned into a bunch of old ladies. But we enjoyed ourselves very much. And have decided that if they come in concert again, that we are definitely going. This month I, along with many others, have decided to focus my blog on things that I am Thankful for.
Today I am so Thankful for our Country. We have so much freedom, and we have come such a long way. We have a new President, which I must say, wasn't my first choice, but I think that he will do a wonderful job. A while ago I made a post about Noah not being able to decide what he wanted to be for Halloween. Well, he made his decision on Halloween Day.
FIRE FIGHTER BY DAY, BATMAN DISGUISED AS BUZZ LIGHTYEAR BY NIGHT.So during the day when he went around to show off his costume to family and friends, he was a Fire Fighter. Then we went home to wait for Adam, and he decided he wanted to be Batman, underneath his Buzz Lightyear costume. So thats what he did. What a clever little boy.
Adam dressed up as a Hippy guy, with a creepy little mustashe. I was still the disco chick. I am so angry because I forgot my camera for EVERYTHING. I can't beleive I did that. Oh well, you can imagine how awsome we all looked I'm sure.

Noah and I went up to Idaho last weekend with my Mom and sister Amanda to see my other sister Miranda and her 2 cute kids. We had a ton of fun. We watched scary movies both nights and drove by some of the houses that were said to be haunted. On Saturday we went to the local Zoo, where they had a bunch of Halloween activities for the kids, and costume contests for all ages. Guess who took 3rd place in the Adult costume contest....ME!!Thanks to Miranda for her funky style in clothes, and my decision to purchase a SWEET Afro wig. Of course, there were only about 9 people in the contest, but I'm pretty proud of myself. Anyways, thanks to you girls and little boys for making my weekend so much fun! I love you!

On Monday Noah wanted to "practice" trick or treating. I guess he just wanted to make sure he had it down before the real Halloween. So he put on his costume and played out his plan. He walked down the street,candy bucket in hand, turned around and came back to the house, rang the doorbell and said "TRICK OR TREAT, SMELL MY FEET". Of course I let the Firefighter in and gave hime some candy. He told me "That wasn't too hard. I'm excited for the real Halloween". He hasnt quite decided what he wants to be. He is trying to decide between Batman, a Skeleton, a Pirate, Buzz Lightyear, and a Firefighter. But for now, he just wears all of his costumes around. I am really excited for Halloween too. I love to see everyone dressed up in costumes, and I also love to dress up. I love taking Noah out trick or treating with his cousins. I also love going to my in-laws house for home made Chili and rolls. Have a HAPPY HALLOWEEN everyone!!!

Adam and I had a gift certificate to the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast in Midway that we finally got to use on Thursday. It was a really pretty place, but it was kinda spooky too. We decided that the place HAD to have been haunted. We really just relaxed the whole time...with a little bit of fun here and there, of course....but we just stayed in our room and watched movies, went on a little walk around the grounds, we even got to go on a canoe and paddle boat in a pond that was right outside our room. We had a lot of fun. It was nice to get away from the normal life for a little bit. On the way home we got lost, but I love it when Adam gets lost, because we always find the most beautiful views. I just love these pictures of Noah. It was the first snow fall of the year...October 10th...yuck! But I love seeing Noah so excited about the snow and going out to play in the snow. I really do love the snow, just not particularly in October, but ya know, beggers cant be choosers, I guess.

It's official. WE ARE HAVING A GIRL!!
Most of you knew that we were pretty sure that we were having a girl, since at our last appointment we had an ultrasound and the doc said.. "Well, I don't see anything extra in there" but yesterday we made it official. We had our ultrasound, and everything looked perfect. We are having a little baby girl, and most likely her name will be Shayne Elizabeth. We are so excited for this little angle to come into our lives!

On Saturday night Adam's work had an "Evening of Ellegance.". It was SOOOO much fun. When we got there they had waiters walking around with drinks and appitizers. After a little dinner we went on to gambling tables and dancing all night long to an awsome live band. We hung out with Adam's employees from work, but the most fun we had was with Paige and Quin. They were our companions for most of the night, and we had a blast cutting a rug on the dance floor, playing Texas Hold'em, and eating until we couldn't eat any longer. Oh yeah...not to mention the Chocolate fountain....mmmmm. Here are some pictures of it. The last one is a little blurred, but it was awsome, like a prom night picture. We just had so much fun, since we don't get to dress up and go out very often. And Noah had a blast bowling and eating pizza with our cousins Carly and Sanele. Thanks guys again! He loves you!!!

WHO POOPED?

Today we went to the grocery store, and when we came out, there was some white stuff on our car. Noah touched it and said " MOMMY- what is this white stuff?" I immediately grabbed his hand away and told him it was bird poop. He then needed to tell his dad the horrible thing that had happened, and this is how the conversation went:

Noah-"DAD (in a disgusted voice)Do you know what happened?
Adam- "No, what?"
Noah- (still disgusted) "A bird pooped on our red thing (car light) on our car"
Adam- "Are you sure it wasn't you?"
Noah "Yeah, it was a bird"
Adam- "I bet it was you that pooped on the car"
Noah- "No it was a bird" (He was getting frustrated now.)
Adam- "Well don't you poop bird poop?"
Noah- "No DAD I poop little boy poop"

I was laughing the whole time. Noah looked so sickened by the fact that a bird would actually POOP on someones CAR. And then the fact that his own DAD didn't know he wouldn't poop on the car was beyond him. Oh how I love my little Noah.

Who knew that these two items would turn out to be permanently stored in my purse. On Saturday nigh we went to my friend's wedding reception, and Noah had an allergic reaction to something that he ate. He got all red and swollen with hives, he threw up all over the dance floor, he started to cough and was wheezing. Adam, being the smarty pants that he is, knew exactly what to do and ran to the store to get some Benadryl. What a Hero!! It was SOOOO scary for Adam and I. We called our pediatrician, and immediately went to the doctor. They gave us an EPI Pen, that hopefully we don't ever have to use, and we will be taking him to an Allergist soon. Lets hope we have less of that kind of excitement this weekend.

WORKING AT THE CAR WASH, YEAH!

Noah and Adam love washing the cars. We finally did this a while ago..well I should say, they did this a while ago. As you can see, I was just a spectator. Thats exactly how I like it. They do all the work, and I enjoy watching them play and work together.

Yesterday I was sitting on the couch with a huge headache, cramps, tired, sick and feeling, well, pregnant, when my cute, sweet Noah came up to me, and just kissed my belly. A bunch of times. He told me he is so excited to have his baby here. I asked him if he thinks that the baby already knows him, and he said YES. I am so greatful to have such a wonderful son. He is such a sweetheart. And I know he is going to be such a great big brother.

1. I have one pillow, a bone pillow, that I HAVE to sleep with every night or I cannot sleep. If I go on vacation and forget it, I'm pretty much screwed.
2. I HAVE to have my toes painted at all times. Toes always look prettier when they are painted.
3. I am often caught staring off into space, like I am in deep thought, when really I just blank out ALL of the time, and am not thinking about anything at all.
4. My food cannot touch on the plate. Each food item that is on my plate must have it's own space, or I can't eat it.
5. I LOVE fruitsnacks. Any kind. It doesnt matter. They are the best!
6. As Adam says, I "look at the world through rose colored glasses." Meaning, I don't see things as they really are, I see things as I WANT them to be. But hey, that makes everything nice in my world.

NOAHS FIRST DENTIST APPOINTMENT

Noah had his first visit to the Dentist today. He was a little nervous to go, until he found out that he wouldn't need to get any shots. Then he was all for it. Of course, I had to go first though to make sure I didn't lie about the shots......

Then of course, what else is there to do while mom is in the dentist chair...take some self portraits....I wonder where he got that from?!?!

What a handsome guy!!

Then, it was Noah's turn. He was so excited to sit in the "cool chair that goes up and down." He wants to get one for our home now. Who knows...it might be kinda fun!

And they were so good to him. They gave him some sunglasses so the bright lights wouldn't hurt his eyes. He thought he was the man!

And that was our fun for this Monday. I don't think we could have spent our morning any better way. And the best part..since we were both so good at the dentist, we got to celebrate by going to Sconecutter for lunch. YUM YUM!!

I am so excited for Fall to officially be here. It is my favorite time of the whole year. Here are some reasons that I am so excited!
- Fall leaves are so beautiful
- The air is nice and cool
- Fall candles smell sooooo good.
- Halloween is almost here. I love to dress up!
- Thanksgiving is almost here. I love to eat!
- Drives up in the mountains are so much fun.
- It makes me want to bake, so Adam and Noah love it!
- We get to see alot more of our family and friends for parties.

8 WHOLE YEARS..

On August 10, 2008, Adam and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary. Can you believe it? We are an old married couple. But we have so much to show for our 8 years. We have a home of our own, a beautiful son, and another wonderful child on the way. What more could a person ask for? For our anniversary, we went to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays, and then to see BATMAN...which I have to say is honestly one of the best movies I have ever seen. So not only did I get to celebrate with Adam, I also celebrated with Christian Bale and Heath Ledger. Adam didn't mind that at all. Anyways, we are going to a Bed and Breakfast up in Midway in October for the REAL celebration. I am so excited for that. And thanks Adam, for a great 8 years.

THE BULGE

Ok, all of you mom's know that maternity clothes just aren't your favorite to wear, so we wait and we wait until the very last second to put them on. Well, last week that time came. My regular pants were un-zipped to the limit, and the hair bands couldn't hold up any longer. So I had to do it. GO SHOPPING. Which normally I don't mind, but shopping for maternity pants that will fit my hips and belly, and be long enough just isn't very easy. But I did it. With Noah I had used a good friends maternity clothes, and now she had moved to Idaho. So I'm starting from scratch. It's kinda fun finding cute shirts, but the pants are a different story. Anyways, here is my first belly photo. What a cute baby it is going to be!

Happy Pioneer Day

Every year for Pioneer Day Adam's whole family goes to the BEES game, and then they have a great firework show after. This year was no different. We had a blast. Noah loves Baseball and kept telling us "After those big guys are all done playing on the field, I'm gonna go out there and hit the ball really far and then run around the bases and get a home run." He thought the game was awsome. He also liked the music. He was dancing around like.... well, like his mom and dad. It was so cute to watch!

FIRST APPOINTMENT

We went in for our first baby doctor appointment today. It was awsome. They did an unltrasound, and only saw ONE baby, good news for Adam, he was a little nervous. We also saw the heart beat, and the baby was moving around like crazy. It is so fun to see that. You can also see some little buds where the legs and feet are, and you can see the head and arms. Dr. Barton says everything looks great so far. My due date was set for February 15, 2009. We are so excited!

LAVA

We had a lot of fun in Lava. We got there Friday night and just hung around with our family. Then Saturday we woke up and had breakfast at a park, then went swimming all day until dinner at a park. After dinner the whole family played kick ball. That was a blast. Watching it was even better though, cause you could see how goofy everyone was. After that we went out for ice cream, of course, and when back to our place to hang out some more. Sunday morning we went to breakfast with the family, then took the long way home so that we could stop by Bear Lake and play in the water, and get some of the famous Bear Lake shakes. Yummy!! We had fun on our vacations, but I am sooooo happy to be back home. We are so exhausted.

MOON LAKE

This is the real reason it is called MOON LAKE. I blurred Adam's "MOON" because Adam was too embarrassed to have his real bum on there. Sorry ladies, if you want to see the real thing, all you have to do is ask.

We had a lot of fun at Moon Lake. I was sick most of the time, but I made the most of it. Noah had a blast fishing, riding his bike, and playing with his cousins in the dirty, dirty campground. And Adam had fun taking Noah fishing, and entertaining the rest of the family with his goofyness.
A Funny story: The second night we were there, I was holding Noah, who was almost asleep, and talking to the rest of the family, when suddenly a tree stump came out of nowhere, and tripped me. I fell and hit my butt on the tree stump, rolled into a little ball to protect Noah, and fell on my hands and knees. Noah wasn't hurt at all, and I wont show you my bruised butt, but here is the damage on my knee. I know, I know, its not the most attractive picture, but Miranda requested that I put one on here, so you can thank her for that!

Moon Lake

This Friday we will be going to the Moon. Moon Lake that is. Our yearly trip for Adam's family reunion. We will be there until Wednesday, and then leave for my yearly family reunion at Lava Hot Springs on Friday until Sunday. We are all so excited to get out of town. We don't get to go on vacation very often, but we always know we can look forward to these ones. Noah and Adam are so excited to fish all day long, and I am so excited to sleep while they are fishing. It will be a great vacation!

Thats right! It has been long awaited for everyone, but now it has finally happened. We are going to have another little addition to our family. Noah is so excited to be a big brother. He knew that we were pregnant before anyone else did. He told my mom about 2 weeks before we found out, that we were going to bring a baby home from the hospital soon, and we thought it was so cute, but he new something that we didnt. He also says that we are going to have a boy, and a girl. Lets hope he's not right about everything!!

A Day at Thomas the Train

I know, I know, I'm a little late blogging this, but at least I got it done, right!
Over Memorial Day weekend we had the chance to take Noah to see Thomas the Train with some family and friends. Noah loved it. They had so much fun seeing Thomas and Sir Topam Hat. There was also a petting zoo with miniature ponies and lots of fun activities for them to do. And Noah was so excited that he got to sit with the Train Conductor.
