On WEDNESDAY AUGUST 12, 2009 Noah had his first day of pre-school. His teacher is Ms. Neena, and Noah just loves her. He had so much fun at school, and made some new friends. I can't believe my boy is big enough to be starting school. When I took him there, he just got his bag and ran into class. He didn't even look back. Which was great that he was so comfortable, but I have to admit, I got a little teary eyed when I left. We are SO PROUD of you Noah! You are such a great blessing in our lives!!!

Also on WEDNESDAY, Shayne had her 6 MONTH check up. She now weighs 16.3 pounds and is 26 inches long. Doctor Barret said that she is growing just great. He also said she is quite advanced for her age, because she is sitting up on her own, she stands well, and she uses her hands very well too. Also, she started getting on her hands and knees and rocking. I'm SOO not ready for her to start crawling yet, but it looks like she will be up and away in no time. Shayne, we love you so much.

The Ranch!

Every year for yet another family reunion, my family from my Grandma's side goes to a ranch called Hidden Valley Ranch in Baker Nevada. It is so much fun there, but the drive is awful so a lot of the time we don't end up going. This year after begging on my hands and knees for months, Adam finally decided that we would be going too. We all had so much fun. We seriously just sat, ate and laughed the whole weekend. Adam, Noah, Uncle Byron and Aidan were a little bit more productive though because they went fishing a lot. Noah and I were making a cake today, and he wanted to put white frosting on it, but I only had Chocolate frosting. Here is our conversation:
Me- "Sorry, we only have Chocolate frosting."
Noah- "But I don't like Chocolate frosting."
Me- "I know you will like it."
Noah-"How do you know that?"
Me-"Because I'm your mom, and I know everything about you."
Noah-"You don't know one thing about me mom."
Me-"What don't I know about you?"
Noah- "I'm in WOVE."(with stars in his eyes)
Me- "You are?! With who?"
Noah-"Anna from my church class. I can't wait to tell daddy!"

MOON LAKE 2009

Every year for Adam's family reunion we go to MOON LAKE. This year was one of our most memorable years. We stayed there for 8 days, and it was so much fun. Adam and Noah went fishing just about every day, and Noah caught the most fish and one of the biggest fish of the trip. Noah had so much fun with his daddy. They bonded so much, and it was so fun to see them doing something that they both love to do. Noah also had so much fun with his cousins playing on the beach and at our camp.
Shayne was a little trooper. She seemed to love camping and we had so much fun hanging out. Her and I stayed at camp most of the time and played games with Adam's family and just hung out and enjoyed the mountains. Shayne also got her FIRST 2 TEETH while we were there, which made for a couple of rough nights for her and everyone that stayed in the trailer with us(sorry Lynch's 2 and parents).
We got to stay in Adam's parents awesome new trailer that was huge enough for everyone to fit in there comfortably. I made myself at home there, and hope his family didn't mind that.
We did have a couple of VERY random things happen to us while we were there. First of all, Adam and his cousin went fishing at night, in the creepy lake and it was just them on the lake. Suddenly there were huge splashes right next to them, and it freaked them out. They didn't see anybody or anything at all, but they did get the heck out of there and come back home. Second, I was going to the bathroom at night in the lovely outhouses that they have there, and I put my flashlight down and saw a little MOUSE starring right at me. EEEK....But the funniest of all was when we decided to go for a drive to get some more drinks, and we get in our car and I see something on our dashboard that looks like MOUSE POOP. We decided to get everything out of our car while we were at the store about 45 minutes away from Moon Lake. As Adam is pulling everything out of the back of the car, and I am holding Shayne in one arm, and Noah in the other, a MOUSE, probably the one that was stalking me in the bathroom, is in the back of our car. Adam started sword fighting the mouse with our window scraper to try to get it out. Finally the mouse decided to charge Adam, and jump out of the car. After laughing hysterically at Adam screaming like a little girl while trying to get the mouse out of our car, we sterilized our car and set back to MOON LAKE in hopes that I wouldn't have another encounter with a mouse again.
We ate a little too much food, and laughed until our stomachs hurt. Thanks to all of Adam's family for being so awesome and fun to hang out with! You guys are some of our best friends!!
